Success

Success

What a loaded word. There is many measures.

I was listening to some shorts this morning on YouTube. Here is one that is a good place to start this posting.

Mercy is profiled at the start of this posting, he comes to the office with me in the early mornings and relaxes in our chairs and has little naps. I think having your dog hang out with you at the office, truck ride, etc is one of those signs of success. In another example, yesterday I got to meet Frankie , our investment firms VP of Operations dog, Frankie went to work on Saturday as well, our dogs are pretty special to us all and are wonderful indicators of a successful life.

  • Success is learning from others, this is a good little exchange that I am going to add here as a reminder of this memory today, may have to circle back here someday.  TLR

My credibility is not reduced because I quote someone's views, I find it interesting that people jump to negatively pointing out someone who is trying to correct a waste of lives and money, for the same of making themselves feel better. Please provide a solution, rather than attach someone's credibility, please tell me how you would stop the war and loss of life. I always encourage others who do not agree to look at both sides of an argument to unfriend me.

Rana Chauhan I think part of the problem now is that people have become so polarized politically that they jump to immediate conclusions. Like I said, I was one step away from being called a Nazi because I posted about Pierre Poilievre. I’m not even a die hard conservative or anything; I don’t feel like I’ve ever had a political affiliation.
On the flip side I think that all of this turmoil and polarization happening politically is a good sign. It signifies disruptive change, which is painful in the short term, but hopefully beneficial in the long run.

well said Rana ! I may borrow that reply someday , as Jim Rohn once said, if someone says it well, borrow, no need staying up half the night if someone has said it well, borrow. He would often quote Winston Churchill who once said ( if I can remember the quote) " The truth is incontrovertible, malice may attack it, ignorance may deride it, but in the end there it is! " Have a blessed day Rana ! and thanks for being that voice out there crying "stop the fear", you have been a comforting voice in my life reminding me of that for the last 30 years , and I suspect many others , cheers TLR

  • Do it now!
    ------------------------------------------------------------

This phrase is the great self-starter, the reminder you need whenever you feel procrastination is creeping up on you. (And, if procrastination is moving fast enough to find you, you're already at a standstill.)

There are always things that need doing. If you are in the grip of laziness, turn to the first thing you see and set to work. It doesn't matter what it is; what's important is that you break the habit of doing nothing. On the other hand, if you're avoiding a specific chore, then that's the one you need to start acting on right away. Otherwise, that job will continue to grow in your mind as something that is too unpleasant to do. If you make "Do it now!" a habit, you will have mastered the essence of personal initiative.
