Psalms 146:1

Praise the LORD!
Praise the LORD, O my soul!
I will praise the LORD as long as I live;
I will sing praises to my God while I have my being.

Yesterday I flew to Calgary from Ottawa and landed here and made my way to the kingdom advisors regional conference was well attended inspirational and there's some good takeaways and encouragement shared. I meant some people that I've known for a few years now that was nice some new people and my number of notes for a follow up in the future inspiration, etc.

On the flight, I had a good conversation with a gentleman from Shardlake, who was one of the sponsors for tomorrow's today is now sparks conference and he has a company that does website and marketing help mainly for Christian charities and other businesses he has a heart for farming was involved with Circle K Ranch. Interesting fellow sounds like a dynamic ministry circles around this man in his family. I look forward to furthering our friendship with with Andrew going forward into the future. I'm sure I'll see him today. It made the trip the flight go by quite nicely and hopefully I didn't borrow him too much with some of my water ideas and you tend to talk about that quite a bit given the opportunity been worn not to by my wife. I probably should eat her things, but I do find it interesting and this one of them, my tag lines simply refreshing well now next onward to the rest of my reflections

using my voice notes feature on my phone with the blog and it is allowing me to type much faster than I would normally be able to type there may be the odd spelling mistake or maybe word mistake cause I'm sure the dictation will be perfect. The concept might not be so much so if there's something that seems a little off, that is probably it and I don't always preview everything I write so I beg any pardon that might be required reading my stuff when I use this method it does help me type faster and I do appreciate that

Today's blog is this basically some daily reflections I start off with the psalms that I was listening to and I think that's a good start for the day part of my daily reflections as I try and listen to today's verse imp proverbs today being the 26th it's proverbs 26. I will reread that and glean what I feel is it's good to help me through my day. Also reminded yesterday during the conference to revisit proverbs four lot of wisdom in proverbs four related to finance. The other part of my routine is the reading of ecclesiastics so I alternate those on a daily basis as well so today being there being done today was enthusiastic 14 anyway too I think And songs of Solomon do those as well. They run on at eight day cycle Asiatics I think goes on a two week cycle. Proverbs is on a monthly cycle and the psalms, I think say five months cycle 160÷3 93 it's up there anyway air mass who knows anyway it's early right now. It's 414 here in Alberta Calgary so like quarter after six at home in Ontario, I did wake up around two. I went to bed around 6 o'clock 630 Alberta time which is probably early for Alberta but at home that be close to normal bedtime for my son around 8:30 9 o'clock anyway did a FaceTime last night with the family that was wonderful to see Benjamin. I do miss him. I do miss my wife Megan that is one of the downfalls of this type of travel you are away from family. It's amazing some of the tools we have today to stay in touch so that is a blessing

part of travel is liquid intake. I somewhat reserved during the trip and I think I made a mistake by not drinking more last night when I came in water doesn't taste very good here. I did a few glasses in the lobby. If you water bottles I'll probably drink enough but not just not what I normally drinking so I am adding a lot of tease this morning. It's early so I'm drinking lots of teas to rehydrate my body. Breakfast is served at 6 o'clock a couple hours to wait for that to happen. I didn't need a lot yesterday I guess a couple snacks and a croissant with some turkey in it on the plane and a few money, beef, snacks, will call them beef snacks so not my normal diet. I usually have a lot more nuts in my diet. It's all good.

I texted instructions to Joseph for rotary this morning. I'm gonna he's gonna be in charge of gathering the fine money and breakfast money. I've put them in that roll in conjunction with egg my neighbour Selle Hank got the bag anyway should work out fine. I'm it's not too hard for what I've asked them to do I just remembered one thing I have to add to the list. I should do that now.

Treasurer Notes

Good morning Joseph, for Rotary today. Hank has the treasurer bag. In it will be the plastic containers, they are distributed around the tables for members to place their happy fines. At end of meeting these are collected, counted and put in envelope, note amount on envelope, also add payments received in the envelope as well. There is a 50 dollar float in case change is needed. There may be some that will need to purchase a meal ticket. They will etransfer their payment, give them a ticket and note on envelope. There is a hole punch for people to track their usage. As an example you will add a hole to your ticket. When all done, pack up and give Hank the bag, Thanks for your help today . Have a blessed day!

One thing I remembered, for attendance, there is an envelope, recommend pass it around and they can write their name on it, alternatively you could meet and great and write it down yourself, treat as an opportunity to learn peoples names, see how your time goes, maybe you do a bit if both. There will be some you may already know, write those down first then proceed , enjoy the morning. I also included the Rotary magazine for you to take and have a look at . You will find the 4 way test in it and some motto and objectives of Rotary as well . This being your third time there , your comfort level will be on the rise I am confident that you will do well. Enjoy your meal !

Random thoughts now I got my rotary obligations moved on for the day. I'm having trouble remembering that is about DAILY that's how we spellWhen I'm typing it I messed it up somehow. Oh well such as the way it is.

I better save this blog cause I'm getting way too much information in it. I'm I could lose it all. If I don't get it saved soon less than learned. Don't write Reil. Good stuff and forget to save along the way. I've done that a few times no need to do it this morning

  • “Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men.” — Colossians 3:23

AI is changing the way we work, but it is also revealing something deeper about us. As more of the technical work is handled for us, the focus shifts from what we can produce to who we are becoming. Tools like this don’t just increase output—they amplify what is already present in our hearts.

If we bring wisdom, integrity, and care into our work, those qualities grow. If we lean on shortcuts or avoid deeper formation, those patterns grow as well. In that way, this moment becomes less about technology and more about character.

For those who follow Christ, this is a reminder that our work has always been about more than results. It is about stewardship. It is about faithfulness in how we serve others. As the technical side of our work becomes more efficient, the human side becomes more important—discernment, trust, and the ability to guide others through decisions that shape their lives.

This is an invitation to lean in, not pull back. To grow in wisdom. To be present with people. To bring clarity and conviction into every conversation. The tools may change, but the calling remains the same.

    P R A Y E R
Lord, help me to be faithful in my work, not just in what I produce but in who I am becoming. Give me wisdom and discernment as I navigate new tools and changing demands. Shape my character so that I reflect integrity, care, and trust in every interaction. Help me to serve others well and to honor You in all that I do.

  • NH, good advice, use system

Most people have goals. Few have a clear system.
    ------------------------------------------------------------

Goals without structure often become intentions instead of outcomes. They sound meaningful, but without a clear path, they are easy to delay, revise, or forget.

A system creates focus, direction, prioritization, and measurable progress. It helps professionals move from wishful thinking to intentional execution.

  • Listened to Zephaniah this morning

The word of the LORD that came to Zephaniah the son of Cushi, son of Gedaliah, son of Amariah, son of Hezekiah, in the days of Josiah the son of Amon, king of Judah.

Bible notes, did a good summary....

    Introduction
Zephaniah prophesied during the reforms of King Josiah (640–609 B.C.), who brought spiritual revival to Judah after the long and disastrous reign of Manasseh. Zephaniah pronounced God’s judgment on corruption and wickedness but also his plan to restore Judah. He spoke of the coming “day of the Lord,” when sin would be punished, justice would prevail, and a “remnant” of the faithful would be saved. The term “day of the Lord” occurs throughout the Bible referring both to impending historical judgments from God and to his final judgment at the end of time. Though Zephaniah does not give details about this day, he speaks of its fearsome consequences (1:18) and calls people to seek the Lord (2:3).
